What I find funny about some people wanting ALL games to be through Steam is that monopolies seem to be OK when it's a side they root for. For instance, the same people who bitched about Microsoft's control of the industry seem perfectly fine with Google's alarmingly increasing tendrils...

You guys think too much in absolutes. I'm not saying that I'm fine with monopolies. I do buy my share of games on GOG for example but I must admit that Steam's frontend, no hassle install and game-management is very convenient for somebody who has few time for gaming anyway.

It's a different story when buying an old game that contains a nice 300 page manual and extra accessories boxed but most new games that come in a box make me wonder why I bought them in a box since their packaging and accessories are very poor.
