GOG shoud have the manual, and other stuff , hint book and such.. err if oyu got it there and have an account.
Unless I missed something, none of the materials GoG provides has a listing of the keyboard commands. I had to do an Internet search! The GoG-provided documentation left me more dumbfounded, not less, when I tried to play the game. The docs are almost as obscure as the game itself!
I finally figured out that my character is a ranger! I suppose that's cool, I dunno. I walk up to someone and try to talk, and get no response. "Hello" doesn't work.
If MATT is confused, there's NO WAY I will be able to figure this game out! This is far more complicated than Ultima II, which is practically boot-and-play in comparison!
So, is "Ultima IV" Richard Garriot's vanity project gone haywire? The game gets lots of great reviews, so maybe I'm just too stupid or impatient to get into this one. So.... I'm going to set this one aside, but thanks for the free game, GoG.
