My whole problem is all this involves people and we are not -how to put this- the same in any way other than we are all Human. As I mentioned, so many studies say something like "3000 people studied over a year".... if they did 3000 people a 1000 times I might agree (subjectivly) with whatever conclusions they came too. Or they did 3000 people in 100 differnt areas of the world. I still say 3000 people in New york are not the same as 3000 people In LA, or Moscow, or Rio. HOW CAN ANYONE think that? I must admit it does depend on what they are studying. I just simply think the Human beast is far to complex to say person A is the same as Person B. I know we all react the same way to say, a fire, but how we react to a robbery, a rude comment, a drink, a type of food. I dont think we can get any "real" data when it comes to humans. Do i think studies are worhtless? no not at all. But I hate seeing those "we took a group of 300 pepple and most thought frying pans where the reason people bonked other people".. bah... (and yes silly statement). When it comes to addiction, how do you study it? one person is a meth head becuase they lost a child, one is becuase they lost a GF, one is just cuz they wanted to try, one is becuase of peer preasure, one is cuz they dont really give a cap about anything, one is becuase they didnt know it was as bad as it was.. etc.. how can there be any commonality in that group? Any one of them could be differnt if just one singel thing happened differnt, they didnt meet up with that person who gave it to them that first time, somebody died from it and it changed there mind, etc... (sorry for dark example).. We are so complex and differnt inside.. i sometimes think that is why we all are sheep on the outside, we want to blend in, follow a lead its so much easier than dealing with all the thought san emotions that come with deciding on somthing that matters.. And i think that also the reason for people taking hte easy way out, "im addicted" help me.. (and yes some need help, no argument there).. but its just another excuse im my mind..
