I haven't ever paid a cable bill in my life and don't ever see that changing. As far as I'm concerned, unless you're big into sports or other live TV events, Netflix is the way to go. Whatever they don't have that you "must" see can be downloaded on a torrent.
Netflix is a BIG change if you think about it. It's amazing, even. Consider that before services like it, we were pretty much at the mercy of TV broadcasters and Blockbuster. The former meant being force-fed endless stupid, irrelevant commercials, and the latter meant stressing over due dates and dealing with a limited selection. Cable has always been a lose-lose in my opinion. Pay upwards of $50 just to watch endless commercials and hundreds of stupid channels. Netflix - watch what you want, when you want, and zero commercials. All that, and it's much cheaper than cable! I mean, this is a serious no-brainer.
