There will be more and more

There will be more and more added to Netflix's library. They only recently (less than a few months ago) hammered out a deal to stream more with some of the big movie studios. But the deal was they would stream them later. Netflix would let the brick and Morter (Disc) places have them for a month before netflix, so they could generate some revenue that way.
Netflix is starting to flex its muscles and can uses some of its #1 status to broker better deals. But there is an upside and a downside to all this. Netflix is pretty much the only game in town (yes there are several competators but none in the league of Netflix, just also rans). If it gets to be the only game in town it could get ugly. I seldom worry about that as if there is a Market microsoft will get into it ( hehe just a joke).. err sombody will get into it.

Right now they say as much as 20% of all net traffic is Netflix (it was 13% just 6-8 months ago). I am guessing there is going to be some kind of "problem" eventally from this if it keeps growing, and it should in my opinion.

I was a beta tester for the Roku box back in late 07 ish (and a loooooooong time Netflix user, hence I got to beta the box) and I love the little thing. Iknow in the last 2 years Im pretty sure I have watched more Netflix thatn I have cable (and we have the everything pack 40 Movie channels and a bazilion channels nobody watchs (I mean.. really, who watchs some of that stuff?). I have been on the fence for about a year on Cable TV, its part of a package deal with internet so sadly lowering my cable (since i have an everything pack) will actually raise some parts of my service.. In the long run its a much better deal with less, but cutt9ng out stuff raises my internet (seems cheap for them to do that, but its how its done).

I do use my 360 sometimes, but its a launch one and I hate pressing my luck on a RROD. So my PS3 got used (but the disc was a pain). I havent used either much since Oct when the discs came out.. maybe 2 hours on the 360 (the roku on the other tv is on all the time). I would get another Roku box in a heartbeat if my TV had the Inputs, I prefer it to the 360/PS3.. but a PC, 360, PS3, Wii, Cablebox, PS2 and one last componant for (insert game system of the past here) I just dont have one to spare full time.
