Well, the first run of Retro Gamer was superb. Of course it was Euro-centric, since it's a British magazine, but it covered everything well (I have I think four issues). The editing was touchy at times, but still, it was the exact magazine I would want to put out here if there was interest for such a thing from publishers in the US (I'll keep at it though). As for this new run of Retro Gamer (their parent company went away for a while, even though RG itself was successful), I have yet to pick up an issue. I do know that Shane R. Monroe writes a column in it giving his trademark "angry guy" perspective on us Americans.
I subscribe to the official Xbox and PlayStation magazines - both of which come with excellent demo discs every month. I also usually get for free for one reason or another, Tips and Tricks, EGM and GamePro, though I think only the first one is current. I will be subscribing to the revamped Nintendo Power soon. I also get Wired, which I like as well, as well as several bodybuilding and fitness magazines. And no, like everything else, I have little time to read through everything, though I try. And yes, despite the freshness of the Internet, I still enjoy a good print magazine, publishing delays and all.
