Upgrade musings....

Elise:
Windows Vista: Core2Duo Laptop 1.5Ghz, 2Gb, integrated graphics -> Stays Windows Vista ? (daily use)
Windows XP: AMD2 core cpu, Acer mini desktop 2.0Ghz, 1Gb, integrated graphics -> Stays Windows XP! (daily use)

Mark:
Windows XP: Core2Duo Dekstop 2.8Ghz, 4Gb, 9800GTS Nvidia games rig -> upgrade to Windows 7? (occasional gaming use)
Windows XP: Pentium4 Dell Optiplex GX270 2.0Ghz, 2.0Gb, 6200 Nvidia -> stays Windows XP! (server)
Windows Vista Ultimate: Core2Duo Acer Desktop 2.0Ghz, 4Gb, 8600 Nvidia -> stays Windows Vista? (daily use)
OSX Snow Leopard: Core2Duo MacBook Aluminum Unibody 2.4Ghz, 4Gb, 9400M Nvidia -> Could dual boot with Windows 7 or run it in parallels easily, do so now with Windows 7 RC and use that as a Windows gaming platform as well.
MacMini: OSX 10.4.11
G4: OSX 10.4.11

I don't really see the point in upgrading to Windows 7, perhaps for the gaming rig if the hardware remains current enough for more newer games. I don't plan on upgrading that hardware anytime soon. I think I will keep my daily use desktop Vista because if you maintain it regularly it chugs along in a reliable manner -> am I wrong to keep it Vista?
I would be interested in installing it Dual Boot (Bootcamp) or in Parallels or VMWare on my MacBook.

So at worst I could need 3 copies of Windows 7, perhaps even 4 if Elise wants it on the Laptop - we do need to expand the memory on that then.
