Thanks for the video. It was fun to watch. I was introduced to these games via Déjà Vu on the Amiga, and it was "love at first sight." I played all the way through--it was just the right difficulty for my 11-year-old brain. Later in life, I bought an unused (still wrapped) Amiga copy of the game off of eBay and I still have it in my closet! Yes, that game made an impression on me.
Uninvited, on the other hand, was another story. Oh yes, I played it a ton (perhaps more than Déjà Vu), but one reason for that is because I was perpetually stuck! Also, I paid my own money for it, and $40 back then was a lot of money for a kid my age. So I kept banging my head against the wall... I remember coming back to it 6 months later one time, figuring out one more puzzle, which encouraged me...before I got stuck again. One puzzle I remember in particular: "Gold, Silver, and Mercury. Together you will find a key." Argh, that stupid red herring!!! I kept trying to put the silver bowl, gold key, and bottle of mercury together, expecting something magical to happen. The real answer eluded me until the age of BBSes when I was able to find a walkthrough. Yes, that was frustrating. But the maze of zombies was cool.
PS: Too bad I was too late on the Tron reference. =)
