No offence, I am sure you two worked hard on the book but if it did not get on there is probably a good reason for it. A reason you may not like. I was thinking of posting a review on amazon but the ones all ready up there say everything I can think of. Why post the same thing over again? It is not a book for every one but the ones who matter will know about it.

Hi, Larry, good to see you again. You seem to be a frank and candid fellow, which is always good for stimulating discussion. I appreciate your willingness to "rock the boat," as it were. At any rate, we appreciate all feedback, positive or negative.

Could you clarify what you mean by "a reason you may not like?" I honestly don't think that Slashdot's failure to post the review really says anything about the quality of the book. It could just be many things. Maybe they did not like the review itself. Maybe they think the book has been promoted enough already (they did publish two articles on our bonus chapters.) There is a chance that it might still be put up (who knows?)

As far as posting a review on Amazon goes, Bill is correct. Even if it's repetitive, it can still help people decide whether to buy it. For one, just having more reviews is good, because it shows people are interested in the book. Indeed, some people will be more interested in a book with hundreds of nasty reviews--the "so bad it's good" folks. For two, more people saying similar things reinforces those things. A review doesn't have to be original as long as it is clear and thoughtful.
