Sounds like maybe you lost some caps inside. In fact, seems like it would be a good idea to do a capacitor replacement on that display. It's 11 years old and has had who knows how much use and abuse in addition to any jarring during shipping. I don't know anything about that specific display, though. You'd probably have to open it, locate the caps on the board manually, and replace them. Make sure you discharge that thing so it doesn't kill you!
It's good that the guns are firing on the display. Seems like a power issue.
I've only worked with about five arcade monitors. Maybe subarubrat on monroeworld has some thoughts?
