By the way, my apologies for all the "Vintage Games" book pimping, but now is the time to get the word out during the critical launch window. The book has its best chance for sales now, as it will no doubt slow to a trickle once the people most interested in the subject get a copy. Not to worry, though, as this will soon pass for "W00t!: The Videogame Revolution" (working title) feature film documentary pimping. ;-)
The nice thing about "W00t!" pimping, though, is that since Matt and I are going to San Francisco for GDC 09 the week of March 22nd with the express intention of interviewing - on film - close to 20 industry pros (some big, big names; some minor names; some award winners; etc.) for approximately 1 hour each over a period of just four days (don't ask about the horribly packed schedule), I hope (and I'm sure Matt agrees) to have plenty of material to share with our AA friends, including a daily diary, photos and maybe some hobby video (as opposed to the official HD video for the film). I'll try to get some blog stuff up every evening as my energy levels permit. Of course this certainly isn't a vacation and doesn't have great potential to be too much fun, as we'll have to put in the equivalent of 8 - 10 hour workdays while there, but it will certainly be a unique opportunity, one that would have been impossible to pass up.
