Absolutely, Rob. The gameplay IS just as complex and sophisticated as anything on the market. The reason? PARTY mechanics!!! Whereas most games nowadays only let you create and control one character, POR and games like it gave you many characters. You had to think about how the party would work together, anticipating every aspect of team management (heals, tanks, dps, cc, mitigation, etc.) In my opinion, this was an order of magnitude more sophisticated than games like Diablo, which, let's face it, you'd have to be pretty stupid not to be able to finish. A game like POR, on the other hand--damn, you really have to put some thought into it.
As far as "crazy eyes" are concerned, I have no idea. I wasn't trying to put on a show or anything; just being myself. Mwahahahaha....:)
