Yeah I do security at a liquer store and I probably spend more money than I should there LOL! Anyway, I saw that Cider and like any true gamer I get a silly idea about "Gaymer" cider, just being silly but it's who I am. Anyway, I admit I DO like the voice, yes to me it adds a little something, I admit I am not a big fan of any of those games, I guess when it comes to older systems like that i prefer the Arcade games or console classics like Pitfall. I admit I think I liked different games as a kid, heck I finished E.T. and Raiders of the lost Ark on 2600 but when I try to play them now I admit, I am totally lost, honestly I think it's because I just don't have the imagination I had back then. With nothing else for comparison we accepted those graphics that could barely represent anything because we used our imaginations. I HATE to think I have become a graphics whore, I like to think I will always be a classic gamer at heart but when I play older games like that and I have to try to guess what the graphics are trying to represent, than I actually have to THINK about it instead of it being immediately obvious I start to lose interest, and I start thinking "You know I could be playing Silent Hill Homecoming on PC right now". I know that's bad of me lol! I realize I prefer simpler gameplay in my classic gaming and if I am going to play something that requires any real thought or planning then I at least don't want to have to try to figure out what I am looking at.
Back to the voices though, yeah I loved Speechtoy on the Amiga, heck I even cutomized workbenches (the AMIGA OS) to boot up with different verbal greetings like " Hello ROB, welcome to AMIGA" it pleased me to have my Amiga greet me when I turned it on so yeah I really am a geek heh..................
