I don't want to toot our own horns here, but I think you'd be hard pressed to have a legitimate complaint about this book. It's thorough, well illustrated, carefully edited...I really expect this to be a blast for you guys. My worst regret was that a bunch of chapters aren't in the book, but that was reversed when Gamasutra decided to run all those chapters instead. That's great, because it'll make it easy for us to promote the book and keep it in the public eye.
Even though Bill and I may have friendly disagreements, our collaboration was great on this book, and IMHO our skills complemented each other's beautifully. I consider Bill the world's foremost expert on game hardware and a renowned collector of ALL genres, whereas I'm a writing specialist with a background in computer gaming, role-playing, and adventure. Everything came together--actually, we were stunned that we were able to do so much in so little time! Even Bill's wife got into the act! I just hope that the efforts pay off. I can't *wait* for you guys to get your copies and let us know what you think of this teamwork.
