The NTSC C64 has s-video signals, but with a weird connector, so you have to build or buy a special cable or adaptor. I remember it looking great on the old monitors. Commodore 1702 I think. That was 20 years ago. Today's LCD and plasma TV's remove flicker from interlaced video automatically, with built-in deinterlacing.
