I am not sure either, but all ripped sid tunes out there have the same structure. A little bit of player code and the music for three channels including the volume setting within a specific memory area. I am guessing his program loads in a real sid file on the c64 from disk and he either has some sort of algorithm figuring out a nice guitar note pattern to play or he has chosen a couple of songs and created a note sequence to go along with the sid.
Because he claims that it is possible to load in any sid - perhaps in the future - I figure he is in the process of creating some sort of algorithm.
