Personally, I've long been ready to go paper- and coin-less. I use my check card for everything humanly possible and rarely ever carry cash with me. It's getting easier and easier to do that. Even this past week on vacation in North Carolina (the Outerbanks), other than tipping one of the Segway tour guides, I didn't use cash once.
Yes, I've been the same way for some time, too. Indeed, the only time cash comes in handy is for tipping and taxis. I don't know why taxis haven't made the leap into credit card readers.
