Civ

There were only a handful of games that supported the first party mouse on the Super NES, Sega Genesis and PlayStation 1. I'd have to verify about Civ on the SNES, though it would be a logical choice.

As for the cartoony visuals, I think a consideration was made for playing on a TV from a distance. I still don't see how it will be playable even at ultra hi-def resolutions on the PS3 and 360 because it looks like it's difficult to make things out, which is of course a common problem with high detail strategy games. The DS version looks very playable because it retains the 2D map. We'll see. Unless there is a major flaw uncovered between now and the release, I"ll definitely be all over the DS version and at least give the demo a try on the 360. If the core mechanics of building a civilization to stand the test of time translates over in a modified console form - the first time that the formula has been modified when released on console - then we could be looking at something truly special. If not, well, there's always the amazing PC versions...
