I never saw it that way, Mark... Unless I'm very, very dense and missing something obvious... Further, I don't see why it wouldn't work. With the right workarounds, there's no reason a 512K CoCo 3 wouldn't have enough power to do a type of emulation. After all, it handled a near perfect recreation of Pac-Man and handled a nice Wolfenstein 3D-style FPS (both thanks to the talents of Nickolas Marentes). Of all the 8-bits, the CoCo 3 would be the one I would EXPECT to be able to pull these things off, since it had that nifty processor and high memory ceiling...
(By the way, not a fan of April Fools' Day myself for this very reason!)
