I voted for shoot-em-up; but

I voted for shoot-em-up; but really its specifically 2D shooters and they tie with puzzle games for me.

Stories, shmories. If I want that I'll read a book. A story in a game is nice (e.g. God of War) as long as it doesn't get in the way. Any cut-scene longer than 30secs irritates me. I can buy a DVD if I want to watch a film.
