I haven't listened to the entire hour-long show, just about half of it, but really enjoy how you go back and give your present perspective on your old writings... Hearing your voice gives a nice perspective to things, giving emotion to your opinions that are tough to glean from text.

I've listened to the first 2 parts. I like the "what was I thinking?" commentary on Blast Processing. Can't wait to hear the rest when I take a walk tomorrow.

It was so neat to hear articles written from back then and hear a perspective of the videogame industry from that time. I had a Sega Genesis back then, but knew of little else.

I have been away for a while but happy to read the new issue.
Bill - while i always savor any type of retro-related commentary as MP3 so i can listen to it on my dreary commute, i was disappointed with the presentation here. While i understand that this is for your personal archive, i dont see why you read your commentary allong with the articles. If you are simply reading, why bother make it an audio file?
It would be nice if you used an outline to make sure you talked about important observations and simply commented what was going through your head after reading it, as opposed to reading your comment. It gets painfull after a while.
Also, i am intimidated by your pose in the picture. It makes me think "listen to this or i kick your ass"

Fair enough, Joe. You sometimes try things and they don't always work, you know? I mostly read because I wanted to maintaining a certain flow, and I thought MY reading would be more pleasant than YOUR reading the material in this case, particularly since I don't have digital files of a lot of what I read (making it tedious for me to re-type). Nevertheless, I tried to at least convey some of the emotion when I read, something that is NOT clear if YOU would be the reader necessarily. Thanks for listening anyway though and commenting, it IS appreciated and noted!
As for the pose, as with the MP3, I tried to ham it up a bit, mimicking some of the poses I've seen other Internet radio hosts do (at least headset-wise)...

It's a Corel Linux penguin, which came in the Corel Linux box. It was a nice distribution that actually mimicked the Windows 95 interface for easy pick up for those used to that interface. I do have a couple of Linux distros, but nothing lately and I've done nothing more than play with them a bit...
